The logo explained
Logo design, concept and colouring by Mark Tann. Graphic conversion to website format and logo positioning by Astutech Ltd.
Inspired by a 2.00 am early morning idea rush, the triangle represents a mountain. As each mountain is roughly the same difficaulty, I am dividing each ascent into seperate zones; bronze, silver and gold. This I believe will give me a psychological aim and a picture in my mind. The higher up the mountain I ride, the higher the altitude. This means the air gets progressively thinner and sparse, making effective breathing more and more difficault, hence the gold zone for reaching the top of each mountain.
I will be imagining being awarded a medal for the charities for getting to a certain point on each mountain. The longer my legs get me up the continuous gradients, the more they will hurt, so the medals are also for my legs!
Finally, the platinum coloured half of the triangle represents the descent of the final mountain. The ride will have been completed, psychologically I will be able to exchange the four gold zones for the platinum, therefore the money raised (virtual platinum) will shortly be on its way to all nominated charities...YES!
